SAC instructor Paul Special brought his fourth year students to the Mastering Suite at Engine Room Audio to work with senior engineer Andy Vandette. Andy provided a detailed overview of the mastering software and hardware in the studio as well as his approach to mastering. After Andy’s presentation, he walked through the mastering process using fourth year student Kevin Halvordson’s Capstone project entitled Strange Days for the mastering example. Congratulations to Kevin for walking away from the session with a professionally mastered song!
