The Control Room features a fully professional environment for multichannel music recording, editing, mixing, and post production projects. It supports stereo as well as 5.1, 7.1 and 7.1.4 Atmos monitoring. It functions as a studio for advanced students and the Center’s classroom. Audio and video tielines allow easy connection to our sound stages and other studios in the Center.

The Surround Production Studio features a fully professional environment for multichannel music recording, editing, mixing, and post production projects. The three Production Studios feature a fully professional environment for multichannel music recording, editing, mixing, and post production projects. It supports stereo monitoring. Audio and video tielines allow easy connection to our sound stages and other studios in the Center.

The Sound Lab features two professionally equipped workstations for multichannel music recording, editing, mixing and post production projects. It supports stereo monitoring. Audio and video tielines allow easy connection to our sound stages and other studios in the Center.

The Isolation Booth provides an intimate environment for small scale recordings including vocals, voice over, acoustic and electric guitar, horns, and hand percussion. It also contains the Center’s collection of vintage and contemporary electric guitar and bass amplifiers/cabinets. The Isolation Booth can be connected to any studio in the Center via the Patch Control Center.

The Recital Hall is a beautiful, one hundred seat facility that functions as a concert hall as well as a sound stage for recording projects. Audio and two-way video tielines connect the Recital Hall to the Patch Control Center in the Sonic Arts Center allowing convenient interfacing with the studios. 

The Large Ensemble Room functions as a rehearsal room for various ensembles as well as a sound stage for recording projects.  Audio and two-way video tielines connect the Recital Hall to the Patch Control Center in the Sonic Arts Center allowing convenient interfacing with the studios.

The Microphone Cabinet contains nearly 100 microphones from leading manufacturers including Neumann, Shure, Sennheiser, AKG, Royer, Earthworks, and ADK. In addition, the cabinet contains an assortment of electric guitar and bass DIs, reamp boxes, splitters, headphones, and headphone boxes.

All tielines to and from the various rooms in the Center and the Sound Stages converge at this point creating a convenient and flexible means to interface the resources of the various rooms.
