On September 12, multiple networks, including ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, and HBO, hosted a telethon in New York, Los Angeles, and Nashville called Hand in Hand to support hurricane relief for the survivors of hurricane Harvey and Irma. The telethon raised over forty four million dollars and featured appearances of over a hundred entertainers including Beyoncé, Justin Bieber, George Clooney, Stephen Colbert, Robert De Niro, Nicki Minaj, Questlove, and Dave Matthews. SAC staff member Paul Special provided the broadcast audio mix for Dave Matthews performance of “Mercy” at Times Square Studios, home to ABC’s Good Morning America where Paul is the broadcast music mixing engineer.
