Our fourth year students took a break from finishing up their Capstone projects to visit the Engine Room mastering studio. Senior mastering engineer Andy Vandette presented a seminar for the students that included a discussion of the software, hardware, and techniques employed in professional mastering. Andy has a long history in the mastering industry and has multiple gold and platinum record awards from a diverse list of clients including; The Beastie Boys, David Bowie, Whitney Houston, Kid Rock, Skillet, Metric, NeedToBreathe, Uncle Kracker, and Rush.
